Quotation terms still control the job
This page sets out the public terms-of-business framework. Individual quotations still snapshot the terms version attached to that quote — the issued PDF remains the contractual record for that work. Where a quotation states different commercial details, the quotation prevails for that job.
1. Parties and contact
Services are provided by the operator trading as Confirm A Kill. Public contact: 9 Shelley Road, Nottingham, NG5 6HN; 0115 913 5724;[email protected]. Company number is not applicable. The operator is not VAT registered, so VAT is not charged.
2. Quotes and acceptance
A quotation describes proposed work based on information available at the time. It does not become a contract until accepted in the manner stated on the quotation (for example through the customer portal). Quote documents and their attached terms versions are snapshotted; once sent, an issued PDF remains immutable and later changes require a new quote version.
Unless a quotation states otherwise, quotes remain valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
3. Scope of work
The agreed scope covers the pest issue, areas and methods described in the quotation or job record. Additional work (for example further proofing, drainage investigation or follow-up visits outside the agreed plan) may need a further quote. Wildlife and pesticide law can limit what is lawful or proportionate at a given site and season.
4. Customer responsibilities
- Provide safe access at the agreed time and disclose known hazards.
- Follow preparation and aftercare instructions, including any temporary restrictions for children or pets.
- Tell us about vulnerable occupants, animals, food production areas or neighbouring constraints that affect treatment choice.
- Do not disturb monitoring points, baits or proofing without advice.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are stated in pounds sterling on the quotation and are the amount payable: the operator is not VAT registered, so VAT is not charged. Unless the quotation says otherwise, payment is due as stated on the quotation or invoice (commonly on completion for domestic work, or within the stated period for commercial work). Late payment may attract statutory interest and recovery costs where the law allows. Deposits, staged payments or different due dates apply only when set out on the quotation.
6. Appointments, cancellation and consumer rights
Please give as much notice as possible if you need to rearrange. For consumer contracts made at a distance or away from our business premises, you may have a statutory cooling-off right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Where that right applies, we will explain how to cancel, any request to start work during the cancellation period, and any charges that can lawfully apply. Details for a specific job appear on the quotation or accompanying information.
7. Treatment outcomes and follow-up
Pest control depends on correct identification, access, building condition and customer aftercare. We explain expected activity after treatment and any planned follow-up. Specific guarantees appear on the quotation where they apply, with clear exclusions.
8. Health, safety and products
We select methods suited to the pest and who uses the property. You must keep people and pets away from treated areas as instructed. Biocidal and rodenticide products are used in line with label and legal requirements. Protected species and nesting birds may restrict timing or method.
9. Liability and insurance
Nothing in any terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Specific public liability limits require current certificate wording before publication.
10. Commercial contracts
Ongoing monitoring contracts will set visit frequency, reporting, call-out arrangements, renewal and termination in the contract documents. Site responsibilities for housekeeping and proofing remain shared between contractor and customer as agreed in writing.

12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, with courts of England and Wales having jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections.
13. Versioning
Quotes snapshot the applicable terms version. This public framework provides the default position; commercial details on an issued quotation take priority for that job.
